Introducing Gut Nuts™, the world’s first fermented and dehydrated almonds. This is the probiotic fermented almond brine that results from the fermentation process, which makes a smooth, hydrating, and invigorating beverage!
We drink it as a refreshing hydrating beverage, starting with 1 tablespoon at a time and increasing from there as desired. Add it to salad dressings for an enlivening zing!
We also soak our grains or beans with water and a few tablespoons of this brine overnight to make them more digestible before cooking.
In our patent-pending process, we lacto-ferment organic almonds from Burroughs Family Farms for 10 to 14 days to reach the perfect level of acidity and sourness.
To achieve lacto-fermentation, we soak the almonds in a probiotic brine made up of spring water from the Santa Cruz Mountains, organic date syrup from Just Date, ancient seabed salt from Real Salt, and select lactic acid bacteria cultures.
When the fermentation is complete, we need to remove the almonds to make Gut Nuts, but a delicious probiotic brine remains! The probiotics are the most expensive part of our formula, so we don't want to throw these highly beneficial little creatures away!
